I remember George's from years ago and he's still there! Called up and found out they had exactly the one I wanted, drove up, bought it, they assembled it, and I was outta there in 15 minutes....$650 dollars poorer
When I brought it home, Sonia showed me what she picked up from the rug!! OMG!! Couldn't believe it. This thing really does help those with allergies, there was so much dust just from one rug that she had to empty the container. It's bagless so never a bag to refill. They guys in the store told me that they think actually the Miele vacuum ($750) is the best vacuum on the market, but it's heavy and it uses bags.
Sonia wants Dyson, Sonia gets Dyson. Wow, can even smell the freshness in the rug.
Could probably get it a little cheaper on the internet but then when something goes wrong??? You have to ship it and wait a month. Buying from George, you just bring it back and they fix anything in a day or so. I am a great proponent of frequenting my local businesses."

"I live fairly close to this place and am so glad that I didn't take the time to read the yelp reviews before popping in.
I took my seemingly dead vacuum cleaner in, hoping to trade it in or purchase a new one. The extremely kind gentleman who greeted me directed me to the owner. I explained the situation to the owner who immediately inspected my machine and then did something magical that instantly revived my vacuum cleaner. He commented that I may need to use a carpet deodorizer and showed me some options. I selected one then noticed that I didn't have enough cash and didn't want to run a credit card for just $5. The owner laughed good naturedly, waved his hand and said not to worry about it. He then carried my clunky machine and loaded it into my car.
My vacuum cleaner was repaired at no charge and not only did I not need to purchase the $550 Miele, but was given a carpet deodorizer.
The staff was kind, helpful, professional and effective. It's hard to believe that this is the same place that was so adamantly trashed by other reviewers. It really makes me wonder what had occurred to precipitate such negative experiences with such a refreshingly positive business."

"I've taken my Dyson vacuum cleaner twice to George's: once back in about 2008. I had just bought the vacuum cleaner so it must have been under warranty still because George's fixed it for free. The second time was 2 weeks ago. It cost me $198 but a new Dyson would be twice that. The people I talked to were polite and helpful. I was going to pick up my repaired Dyson this Saturday but I called first because I was running late. The lady said they were about to close but I asked if they could please wait for me for maybe 15 minutes? She very kindly agreed. (I was there in 8.) They were very nice and the vacuum cleaner was working like new and it was super clean. What's more, they have parking!!! I love it! I love that there's parking in LA! So, absolutely no complaints. George's is great!"
